How is Therapy Structured
The structure of therapy is personalized to fit your unique needs, goals, and challenges. Some clients may find resolution in 8-10 sessions, while others continue for months or years to address a range of issues. We will work together to determine the best path for you.
Standard therapy sessions typically last 30, 45, or 53 minutes, but we also offer extended sessions and EMDR intensives for deeper exploration and trauma work. Please note that extended sessions and intensives are not covered by insurance at this time.

What is an EMDR Intensive
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful therapy for healing trauma and distressing memories. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR focuses on rewiring memory networks to help you process and release past experiences for sustainable self-growth.
At Resilient Roads, we offer both traditional EMDR therapy and EMDR intensives for clients seeking faster or more concentrated healing. EMDR intensives are ideal for individuals who:
Seek Faster Results: EMDR intensives offer concentrated sessions lasting 3 to 4 hours per day, or across multiple days, for a quicker resolution of trauma symptoms compared to weekly therapy.
Have Specific Goals: If you want to address one or two specific issues or traumas, the focused nature of an intensive provides uninterrupted time to work through these challenges.
Prefer Intensive Treatment: Some clients prefer the immersive nature of EMDR intensives that can work better with their schedules or dislike the pace of weekly sessions, finding the deeper work more transformative.
Are Ready for Deep Work: EMDR intensives allow you to explore and process complex emotions and memories more thoroughly without the time constraints of shorter sessions.
